History
Bumbu The Original Rum is crafted based on the "original recipe" created in the 16th and 17th century by sailors of the West Indies. This exquisite rum is blended and distilled in Barbados, using sugar cane sourced from the Caribbean and South America. The distillery employs a unique yeast strain that dates back to 1840 during fermentation, complemented by their continuous column stills for distillation. Aged up to 15 years in once-used Bourbon barrels, the rum is then blended with natural flavors before bottling. Bumbu is a small-batch, limited production rum, and we've been fortunate to have more demand than supply since its release. The brand garnered early attention when renowned artist Lil Wayne became one of our earliest supporters, helping to elevate its presence in the market.
